When I started at The Doris Isaac School of Dancing I was not good enough to go to Miss Isaacs’ Ballet class, this was reserved for only the best pupils. My teacher was Rosemary Carden however Miss Isaac would always watch the classes and private lessons and comments were always forthcoming! She had a legendary reputation as a Ballet teacher in Brighton, a strict disciplinarian with the very highest expectations of her pupils. I respected and admired her and her values live on within me today.
